Terms & conditions.

All swimmers and those responsible for swimmers must adhere to the following terms and conditions when attending Max Johnston Swimming.

Payment policy:

All payments will be sent to the email provided to us using a third-party service.

All Payments are paid by Direct Debit.

Payments are processed every month; Max Johnston Swimming operates all year long. You will receive an average of 4 lessons per month with your direct debit.

In order to cancel a direct debit, you must make contact with Max Johnston swimming where we can cancel it for you.

If for whatever reason we can’t set up a direct debit with you, we will contact and take payment for the lessons.

If you cancel your direct debit, you will not receive a refund for the lessons that are paid for but un unsed.

A place can not be confirmed for your child unless the direct debit has been paid. 

If for any reason that you cannot pay the direct debit then the parent/carer must contact Max Johnston Swimming to discuss other forms of payment.

Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment.

Cancellation Policy.

Max Johnston Swimming reserves the right to cancel or change any booking or course at any one time. 

If a child misses their given lesson, for whatever reason that may be,  no refund will be issued.

If a lesson has been cancelled by the teacher, because of adverse weather conditions, sickness or any other reason. Then this will either be refunded or a different place will be offered in return. If a child misses the lesson of the offered place then no refund shall be given there after.

Pool Rules.

No Jewellery is to be worn whilst part taking in a swimming lesson, the instructor will be able to stop the lesson and ask for it to be removed before continuing.

All Rules set out by the Management of the given centre should be adhered to at all times. These rules can be found on the inside of the pool swimming area.

Swimming goggles are permitted to be worn but the goggles mustn't cover the nose of the swimmer.

Swimmers shouldn’t enter the pool until requested too by the instructor or lifeguard. 

All parents should adhere to the centre rules in relation to seating and viewing the swimming lessons.

Only one parent per child is permitted to watch the swimming lesson.

Health And Safety

All swimmers that are unwell or have symptoms of Covid-19 must not come to their swimming lesson. All Covid-19 related illnesses should be monitored whilst following the guidelines from the UK government website.

All new and existing medical conditions should be reported to Max Johnston Swimming before commencing lessons.

All swimmers who have shown signs of sickness or diarrhoea shouldn’t come swimming until all symptoms have stopped.

Please make sure that all children shower before entering the swimming pool.

Lesson Provisions

Max Johnston Swimming will provide qualified teachers for all classes and will provide the equipment for all swimmers.

All lessons will last 30 minutes each- this includes entering the pool and exting.

All teachers will have a DBS and up to date qualifications to teach their children.

All parents and carers are responsible for their child's safety before and after the lessons.

All teachers will understand that the children's safety is paramount whilst having a lesson.

Data Protection

Max Johnston Swimming holds data for all their children and parents/carers who attend swimming lessons. This information is used solely for business purposes and is not shared with a third party. All data is stored and used correctly and complies with GDPR.

When making payments via Direct Debit, all card information is stored through a third party. Max Johnston Swimming does not hold any card details.

If at any time any of our parents/carers want to remove their data from our systems they can do this by contacting us.

Safeguarding:

Max Johnston Swimming follows STA guidelines for safeguarding of children.

All images taken from the swimming lessons will only be used for business purposes only. All parents and caregivers shall be asked for permission before taking any pictures.

Complaints:

Any complaints can be made to max@mjswimming.co.uk.

All complaints will be dealt with and you will be contacted so that we can fix the problem.

Security of Valuables within the swimming pools:

Max Johnston Swimming is not responsible for any loss of valuables that are left inside the changing rooms or inside the swimming pool area.

Medical conditions:

All medical conditions should be reported to Max Johnston Swimming before the commencement of lessons.

Any change of conditions should also be told to Max Johnston Swimming.
