- Except during the lesson period, it is the parent or guardian's responsibility to ensure that children (Under 16) are supervised at all times. This includes the changing rooms and all other areas.

- Please use the appropriate changing room, children under the age of 8 who need accompanying by an adult will be required to go in the same sex changing room as the parent/guardian. SHOES MUST NOT BE WORN IN THE CHANGING ROOMS OR ON TO POOLSIDE. BLUE SHOE COVERS ARE PROVIDED. 

- Children should wear appropriate swimwear. Bikinis and long surfing type shorts are not appropriate for swimming lessons. SWIMMING HATS MUST BE WORN. 

- Please shower before your lesson and then go to poolside to wait. Parents please do not deliver children on to poolside more than 2 or 3 minutes prior to the start of their class. Teaching staff already working cannot be responsible for children before or after the lesson. 

- After the class, PARENTS IMMEDIATELY RESUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR SWIMMERS who will be sent to the changing rooms to meet them. Parents of very young children please come to poolside.

- NO PHOTOGRAPHY IS PERMITTED AT ANY TIME. 

- Swimmers must cover any untreated verrucae with either a verruca sock or a tight fitted normal sock to infection spreading. 

- The swimming teacher has the right to remove any swimmer from any class on the grounds of inappropriate conduct. 

- Hippocampus Swim School takes no responsibility for lost or stolen property whilst visiting any of our venues. 

- If you miss a lesson unfortunately we cannot provide a catch up class or a refund

- Private lessons need to be cancelled 24hours before. If not that lesson will not be carried over.

- No food or drinks (with the exception of water) are allowed on poolside or in the changing rooms at any time. 

- Please leave pushchairs outside the changing rooms. 

- Refund requests may only be granted due to medical difficulties, proof must be supplied. If the refund is asked for half way through the term, then the refund will be worked out on a pro-rata basis. 

DECLARATION 

I agree to the terms and conditions of Hippocampus Swim School given to each family joining our scheme. I understand that the school may obtain and hold personal details about my child, including sensitive information such as medical or behavioural details and consent to this being processed in order to promote the progress of my child in swimming.
