. Swim England Changing Room Policy: Parents should not be in the changing room while their swimmers are changing, unless the swimmer is of an age where help is required from the parents, or the swimmer requires additional specific assistance. This is generally bellow an age that is stipulated by the pool hirer, usually 7-8 years of age. In such circumstances the parent must be the same gender as the child, unless the facility has family changing facilities or is a "mixed changing village".
At The Lenton Centre we are aware that this is not always feasible and often there are mums that bring their sons and dads that bring their daughters. Often children younger than 8 are able to change themselves but for those that need extra assistance our policy is that the sex of the changing room that should be used when a child needs help getting changed is of the same sex as the parent/adult that is helping, i.e. a mum helping her son should be using the female changing rooms and a dad helping their daughter should be using the male changing rooms. This would be the same as if a parent was with their child of the opposite sex who was needing the toilet at a supermarket, leisure centre and public toilets or changing in health club group changing rooms. The changing room or toilet that would be used would be of the same gender as the adult. Dads wouldn't go into the ladies and mums wouldn't go into the men’s. Anyone who is ignoring the policies will be asked to immediately leave the changing rooms. A limited amount of changing pods are available on poolside if needed.
. Children that usually wear nappies need to wear swim nappies for the duration of the lesson.
. Please encourage your children to shower and use the toilet before the lessons start. Should your child need the toilet whilst the lesson is on, we ask that you are nearby to take them.
. Approximately 5 minutes per lesson will be allocated to the administration of registration and achievement records for participants. Please arrive on time. If you are 10 minutes late teachers have the right to refuse access to the pool.
. Parents of swimming lesson members who are under 8 years old must remain in the centre for the duration of the lesson and collect their children promptly at the end of the lesson.
. You must use all equipment and facilities in an appropriate manner and give safe regard to your own Health and Safety and to that of others.
. Children that have had sickness or diarrhoea 48 hours before their lesson should not take part in their lesson.
. Any bodily fluids that occur in the building must be reported ASAP to reception so that the situation can be cleaned.
. No food is permitted in any of the changing facilities.
. No phones are permitted on poolside or in the changing rooms.
. We reserve the right to withdraw all or any part of our facilities for any periods where we require them for repairs, alterations or maintenance work.
. We accept no liability for lost or stolen goods whilst on our premises unless as a direct result of our negligence. Property stored in lockers is at your own risk. Cars parked in the car park and all contents in them are your responsibility and we will not accept any liability for loss or damage to them.
. It is your responsibility to ensure that the participants are fit to use the facilities. Please inform a member of the Swimming Lessons Team of any mental, physical health or medical conditions.
. The Lenton Centre and Quackers reserves the right to adjust or amend the terms and conditions as necessary - whilst efforts will be made to provide notice, this cannot be guaranteed. Participants are requested to adhere to the terms and conditions of use. These may vary from time to time.
We hope you enjoy the lessons at Quackers Swim School
